These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Contendeo.app ("Contendeo", "the Service"). By creating an account, connecting Contendeo to Claude, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

01.The Service
Contendeo is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector that provides AI video comprehension tools to Claude. You paste a video URL into Claude, and through the connector we download the video, transcribe its audio, extract keyframes, run OCR and visual analysis, and return structured results back to Claude. The tools currently offered are quick_transcribe, deep_analyze, clip_context, and batch_analyze. The tool set may evolve over time.
02.Eligibility
- You must have a Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise account (or equivalent plan that permits custom MCP connectors).
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if that is higher.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction or ours.
03.Your account
You sign in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure; anyone with access to it can use your Contendeo credits. Tell us immediately at official@contendeo.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may create one account per person. Do not share accounts, sell access, or create accounts on behalf of other people without their consent.
04.Acceptable use
You agree to use Contendeo only to process videos you have the right to access. In practice this means:
- Public content — videos publicly posted on YouTube, Instagram, Vimeo, X, TikTok, or similar platforms and lawfully viewable by you.
- Your own content — videos you created or that you otherwise hold the rights to.
- Content you are authorized to process — e.g., client content you have been retained to analyze.
You must not use the Service to:
- Process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours, including child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, or material that infringes third-party rights.
- Circumvent platform protections beyond what the tool does automatically as part of normal operation. You must not use Contendeo to bypass DRM, paywalls you have not paid for, or access controls on content that is not made available to the public.
- Harass, defame, or infringe the privacy of any individual.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Service, including automated mass-submissions designed to exhaust credits or degrade performance for other users.
- Resell or repackage the Service as your own without a written commercial agreement.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring your use complies with applicable law and the terms of the source platform.
05.Credits and billing
Access to the processing tools is metered in credits. Credits are prepaid and generally non-refundable, except as set out below.
- Free tier: new accounts receive 10 credits on signup.
- Subscription plans: Pro and Power plans grant a monthly credit allotment that refreshes each billing cycle. Unused credits roll over within the rollover caps stated on the pricing page. Rollover caps prevent indefinite stockpiling.
- Pay-as-you-go (PAYG): credits purchased as PAYG top-ups do not expire as long as your account is active.
- Automatic refund on failure: if a job fails for any reason attributable to us — download failure, transcription error, timeout, internal bug — we automatically refund the credits charged for that job.
- Cache hits are free: if a URL has been analyzed by the same tool in the last 7 days, the result is served from cache and no credits are charged.
- Billing disputes: contact us within 30 days of the transaction and we'll review the credit ledger. Payment-processor chargebacks should be used only after contacting us has not resolved the issue.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices shown on the pricing page are in US Dollars (USD) for display convenience; the underlying charge is processed in Indian Rupees (INR) at a fixed conversion rate, so the exact INR amount shown at checkout may vary slightly from the displayed USD price due to currency fluctuation. Applicable taxes (e.g., GST) may be added at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically on the stated billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel a subscription at any time by emailing official@contendeo.app; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access through that period.
06.Intellectual property
Your content and outputs: You retain all rights to the videos you submit and to the analysis outputs generated from them. We claim no ownership of the videos you process or the analyses we return. You are free to use the outputs for any lawful purpose, subject to any third-party rights in the underlying content.
Our service: The Contendeo name, website, software, prompts, pipeline, and branding are our property. These Terms don't grant you any rights in them beyond the right to use the Service as intended.
Video content handling: Video files are processed ephemerally — downloaded, analyzed, and deleted immediately. We never store raw video content. Only the analysis output is cached for 7 days to accelerate repeat requests.
07.Service limits
- Maximum video duration: 2 hours (7,200 seconds). Longer videos will be rejected.
- Output size: responses are capped at approximately 25,000 tokens. Longer analyses are intelligently truncated — summary, key claims, and visual assets are preserved, raw transcript is trimmed.
- Processing times vary with video length, platform, and load. We do not guarantee a specific completion time.
- Rate limits apply per user and per tool to protect the service from abuse.
- No uptime guarantee. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis without a formal SLA. Downstream dependencies (Groq, Anthropic, Supabase, Razorpay, source video platforms) can and do fail — when they do, so do we.
08.Disclaimers
Analysis outputs are generated by AI systems and may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinated content. Transcription is imperfect. Vision analysis can misread text or misidentify objects. You are responsible for verifying any extracted data, claims, numbers, or entities before relying on them — especially in consequential contexts like trading, legal work, journalism, medical decisions, or regulatory filings.
Nothing Contendeo returns is financial, investment, legal, medical, or professional advice. Even when you point the tool at financial content (charts, price data, analyst videos), the output is an AI-generated summary of what appears in the video, not a recommendation.
09.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim. If you used only free credits in that period, our liability is capped at USD 10.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost business opportunities, or the cost of substitute services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted.
10.Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) your submission of content you did not have the right to process, or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11.Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account by emailing official@contendeo.app. Cancelling a subscription is separate from deleting your account — you can do either or both.
We may suspend or terminate your account without refund for material or repeated violations of these Terms, including abuse of the Service, processing illegal content, attempting to defraud us via chargebacks, or any activity that could expose us to legal risk. For non-material issues we will generally try to give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
On termination, your access to the Service ends. Unused credits on a terminated account are forfeited where the termination was for cause. Provisions that by their nature survive termination (payment obligations for credits already consumed, indemnity, liability limits, governing law) continue to apply.
12.Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change the Service over time — adding tools, adjusting rate limits, tuning pricing, or sunsetting features that aren't working. We'll try to give reasonable notice for changes that materially reduce what paying users get.
We may also update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll surface the update in-product or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you don't agree with an update, stop using the Service and request account deletion.
13.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
Before resorting to formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by contacting the other at the email addresses on file.
14.Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Contendeo regarding the Service.
- Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No agency: nothing here creates an agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship.
